DAY 1: Arrive Nairobi – The Serena Hotel


We arrive in Nairobi today and have the day to orientate ourselves we also make use of the time to clarify any unclear points and discuss the tour and what we can expect on a day to daily basis, this is also an opportunity to ensure that you have every thing you will require for the following 13 days of wildlife wonder and sandy shore. This evening we will have the opportunity of eating at the famous carnivore’s restaurant. Not recommended for vegetarian but catering for the less primal tastes.


DAY 2: Meru National Park – Elsas Kopje


Leaving behind the frenetic energy of Nairobi in the late morning we take in the breath taking beauty of the Great Rift Valley from the air en route to Meru National Park. This scar on the surface which is a result of a major tectonic shift millions of years ago and to this day stands as a reminder of how insignificant human time frames are. Time at Elsa's Kopje include two game drives per day, all meals from the northern Italian-influenced kitchen, and all drinks including beer and spirits. B.L.D


DAY 3: Meru National Park – Elsas Kopje

DAY 5: Arusha - Kibo Palace


Flight from Nairobi to Arusha exact centre point between Cape Town and Cairo (well that’s what they say!) where we explore the local markets and bargain hard for these curios. Next to our accommodation we have the opportunity to visit a snake park and a Masai village to learn a little about their ancient culture. B.D


DAY 6: Serengeti National Park – Central Serengeti Camp


Transfer to Arusha airport for their 8 am flight to Seronera.

Collection at airstrip and drive to camp for lunch. Afternoon game drives and visit to the Serengeti Visitors Centre. One cannot help but here remnants of David Attenboroughs’ voice “this vast expanse of lush veld comes alive with the annual migration…” The next two day we will experience the Serengeti in our customized 4x4 with pop up roofs for easy viewing and photography, this park covers 15,000 sq km of plains and a myriad of grazing animals. We overnight in the park, a exhilirating experience. BLD


DAY 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Central Serengeti Camp – Nyati Camp


More game drives though the Serengeti and then we make our way to Ngorongoro Crater visiting Olduvai Gorge on the way. This area has the highest concentration of game in one area. We camp on the rim of the crater tonight and awake to rays of sunlight kissing its slopes. BLD


Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport / Kia Lodge


Before heading back to the bustling town of Arusha we have the last opportunity for game viewing. Descend down into the crater after an early morning breakfast. Picnic lunch at the hippo pools and depart the crater around 14:00 drive into Arusha and then on to Kilimanjaro International Airport for our overnight at Kia Lodge. BLD


Day 9: Zanzibar Stone Town – Serena Hotel ***** ( Standard Rooms )


Transfer the short distance over to KIA for their flight to Zanzibar @ 11:00 or 11:45am arriving an hour later in Stone Town. Relax or take a stroll through the streets of the town. B


Day 10, 11, 12 and 13: Zanzibar ( Day 10 in Stone Town - Day 11, 12 and 13 in North Island at Ras Nungwi Hotel )


Welcome to the “spice island” of Zanzibar, the next few days are at your own leisure, spend the night in Stone Town visiting the fresh food market at night. We will also have the opportunity of going to the slave lodge, do a spice tour, visit some of the holy sites. Hire a motorbike and get lost on the East coast. Visit the Jozani Forest, laze on the Beach, go diving, drink cocktails, ski and much more! All the information you need to make your decision is in your tour dossier and your hotel will be happy to make the necessary arrangements. ) A perfect way to finish our holiday. B


Day 14: Fly Home


Get the ferry or flight from Zanzibar to the airport for your connecting flight back home. B ( We do not arrange this so as to allow clients some flexibility if they would like to explore Dar es Salaam before departure. The accommodation venues will gladly assist with either of these bookings / transfers. B
