Our group meets for breakfast at St Johns Backpackers and leaves at 09:00. Today we will head down toward Cape Point via Chapmans Peak for some awesome views of the Peninsula and Hout Bay. We will then move toward Simons Town and Boulders Beach for a glimpse of our very own Jack Ass Penguin population. Following lunch we will head inland toward one of the quaintest towns on the Route 62 – Montagu. (D)
Take the day out to do some funky activities, Quad Bike, Archery, 4x4, soak in the Hot Water Springs, take a tractor ride to the top of the Langeberg Mountain range or try some of the local wines in their production vineyards. This morning we head through the fertile Koo valley en Route to Aquila Private Game Reserve. With 4 of the Big 5 and a host of Plains animals this is a perfect Malaria free game experience with style and professional guiding. Aquila has proven their dedication to community development and social upliftment with their programs in place. (B.D)
We head North to a private Nature Reserve based on sustainability and minimum of emvironmental impact. Tonight we will enlighten and entertain ourselves with Southern Hemisphere star gazing in what is arguably the most suited area of the country for that purpose, explore the celestial bodies and star signs with us. D
This morning we head to the infamous West Coast and superb guided wilderness experiences. From a genuine Rooibos Tea Tour ( Honeybush ) to a Veld Safari Drive taking in the magnificent vistas of the area. We lunch on the Sea – Shore with genuine West Coast hospitality and a buffet menu to make Sea Food lovers smile from ear to ear. In the afternoon on the return of the inhabitants we head to Bird Island with one of the highest concentrations of the Cape Gannet to be found amongst other wader and sea species. Between April and September one can see the unique mating dance of these Blue Eyed wonders. This evening we relax in a friendly Djembe Drum Circle. B.L.D
Dedicated to the original inhabitants of the mountains and those who knew the secrets of the land we head out in search of San paintings in the mountains with expert guides. Some of the oldest and best preserved have been located in this region.We will also go on a moderate Caving expedition in Stadsaal. Forget the frantic hours and working days. Another evening under perfect night skies will afford us the opportunity of doing some quality Star Gazing / Drumming. B.L.D
Relax in your cabins overlooking Leopard Rock this morning and rise when the body forces you to. Activities for the day are what you choose them to be. Canoeing, hiking, cycling, skydiving are all optionals, if you want to relax by the pool and sip cocktails there is nothing holding you back. Relax and enjoy the complete serenity of being disassociated from the hustle and bustle. B.L.D

We slowly head back toward Cape Town and stop off in the West Coast Fossil Park en route. A world acclaimed Park and a very informative and enlightening experience. We will also stop off for lunch in the park at The Old Schuur. B
